Year in Pictures

A YEAR OF LIGHT

The Christmas story invites us to remember the moment

when love and light stepped into our world in the person of Jesus.

The glory of the Lord shone, and angels announced:

‘Good news of great joy that will be for all the people.’

It’s a story that brings hope, peace, joy, and love.

It’s also a story that continues to shine

whenever light and love find their way into our lives.

As I look through our Storybook Year in Pictures,

I’m grateful for the care and connection lived out

every day in our communities.

These photos offer a glimpse into some of the moments

that have shaped us over the past year.

Whether the days have been easier or carried more weight,

light keeps showing up in the ways we serve, support,

and walk with one another.

Thank you for being part of our story.

In a year filled with so many meaningful moments,

we are deeply grateful for the light each resident,

family member, team member, and friend

has brought into our communities.

ENDURING LOVE

Some of the brightest parts of community life

come from couples who have shared

a lifetime of love.

Their humour, kindness, and commitment

continue to inspire everyone around them.

STORIES IN COLOUR

Every art piece tells a story,

and so does the person behind it.

Creative activities give our residents

fresh ways to share their memories, talents,

and the joy that still lives boldly in them.

SHARED LAUGHTER

Laughter, stories,

and a little friendly competition

have a way of bringing people together.

Friendship grows through being together,

adding vibrancy to our communities.

BRIGHTENED SPACE

Real connection often shows up

in conversations where people

feel seen and welcomed.

Those moments brighten the space

shared between our residents

and team.

SHOWING UP

The way our team shows up each day

says more than their skill ever could.

Their presence and heart reflect care

that helps shape life together.

SHARED JOY

There’s a certain kind of joy that ignites

when fun is shared in good company.

Friendships often begin

with laughter and a light-hearted moment.

SIMPLE JOYS

Sometimes it’s the simple moments,

like settling into a good puzzle,

that bring the biggest smile.

A small challenge shared in community

can mean more than we realize.

SIDE BY SIDE

Sharing a moment side by side

can say more than words.

It’s one of the ways friendship

brings life into our communities.

CARE IN DETAIL

Hospitality becomes its own kind of care

when every detail is handled with intention.

It creates spaces where residents

feel cared for in real, tangible ways.

MEANING & PEACE

For many of our residents, faith offers

a sense of meaning and peace.

Spiritual wellbeing reflects a part of life

that still matters deeply in our communities.

GATHERED AROUND

Food has a way of gathering people,

but it’s the stories shared together

that draw people in.

It’s part of what makes our communities

feel like home.

EVERYDAY KINDNESS

Love shows up in ordinary ways.

It’s often through

small acts of kindness

that care is most deeply felt.

TEAM SPIRIT

Playful moments say a lot

about the spirit our team brings.

They reflect the joy and connection

that help shape life in our communities.

CURIOSITY LIVES

Curiosity doesn’t need to disappear with age –

it can show up in new ways.

Playfulness can still surprise

and spark joy in our residents.

QUIET CONTENTMENT

There’s a quiet contentment in enjoying a meal,

especially when the afternoon light begins to settle.

A moment to pause and savour.

WELCOMING TOGETHER

When local partners join our spaces,

connection finds new places to grow.

They help create moments

where residents, families, and team

can simply enjoy being together.

ENERGY IN MOTION

Movement often reflects the energy

our residents bring into the day.

This engagement helps create

wellbeing in everyday life.

CARE IN PRESENCE

Care can look as simple

as being present with someone.

It’s one of the ways our team

brings care to life in our communities.
